What is Stevia?

Stevia is a natural herbal extract that is 300 times as sweet as sugar and calorie free. Stevia has a pleasant taste without the bitterness or aftertaste of artificial sweeteners.

Sugar Free Apple Pie Recipe

  • Two 9 inch pie crusts
  • 6 cups mackintosh or other apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Stevia Extract Powder
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 or 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

Combine stevia, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and lemon juice and mix well. Add in apples and gently mix until apples are well coated. Pour mixture into pie crust and dot with butter. Place second pie crust on top, crimp and trim edges. Cut slits in top of pie to allow steam to escape. Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes. You can cover with aluminum foil during the last 15 minutes to prevent over browning.

Fresh Sugar– free Lemonade

  • 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon stevia extract powder
  • 7 1/2 cups water

Combine lemon juice and stevia in large Picture. Stir to dissolve stevia. Add water and stir until thoroughly mixed. Refrigerate and serve cold. May also be served at room Temperature. Adjust amount of stevia and lemon juice to personal tastes.
